Still open (broader scope), but a real contribution came out of it: @seven7763 volunteered a funded third-party LLM gateway to live-verify the OpenAI-compatible provider path, with full transparency about their own gateway (DaoXE) up front. That verification run surfaced a real bug — base_url was silently ignored in the Cohere and Voyage embedding code paths, unlike every other provider. Fixed in PR #394.
