ragleap-tools v0.3.0 release notes

search_github_repositories tool (GitHubSearchConfig, make_github_search_tool) via the real GitHub REST API (/search/repositories). Token optional. Sets a real User-Agent header. Standard library only - no new dependency. num_results is clamped to 1-20; values of 0 or below return 1 result rather than an error.

100 tests passing in CI (ragleap-tools-tests job, merge commit 1b06094).
Live-checked on 2026-10-01 against the real GitHub REST API, unauthenticated, using the published 0.3.0 wheel: normal query, num_results clamp (100/21/20/0/-1), sort=stars, and the 422 error path (returns success=False, does not raise).
NOT live-verified: authenticated requests. The Bearer header path is covered by mocked tests only.

The GitHubSearchConfig docstring in this release says unauthenticated search is limited to 60 requests/hour per IP. That figure matches GitHub's unauthenticated core API limit. A live /rate_limit check on 2026-10-01 showed the search resource at a limit of 10 (core at 60) for the testing IP. Docstring is wrong in the published 0.3.0 wheel (PyPI versions can't be overwritten); it will be fixed in the next release. Code behavior is unaffected.
