ragleap-rag (Java) 0.13.0
New: the RagLeap entry point, the Java counterpart of the Python RagLeap class.
ask,askStream,retrieve,evaluate- conversation history (
getHistory,clearSession) - document methods (
listDocuments,deleteDocument,updateDocument) - ingestion helpers (
ingest, ingestText, ingestImage, ingestAudio, ingestVideo) andingestBatch - query rewrite (contextual, HyDE, multi-query), structured output, guardrails, hooks, cost tracking and the query-embedding cache, with the Python defaults
Maven Central: io.github.antonyrag:ragleap-rag:0.13.0
How it was verified
- The facade was compared with the real Python
RagLeap(ragleap-rag 0.13.0, commit d210dab) on 33 scenarios. Both sides ran against fake collaborators (embedder, vector backend, generator, memory, hooks), and the full ordered log of calls, hook events and memory writes had to match. A mutation check confirmed the test fails when behaviour differs. - 502 tests ran in the release build (0 failures, 8 skipped because parity and live tests need local services). Five live-Ollama tests are excluded from the release build because they are timing-sensitive on a busy machine.
- After release, the published jar was resolved from Maven Central in a clean project and
RagLeapwas exercised against a local Postgres.
Not live-verified
- The facade was not run end to end against real paid LLM or embedding providers.
- Milvus and Pinecone backends, and Whisper/Deepgram transcription, are stub-tested only.
Differences from the Python class
- Not ported: reranking, the Redis query cache, URL ingestion (
ingest_url), and the async variants. - Query rewrite is an enum (
QueryRewrite), and streaming uses a callback. ingestBatchkeeps the metadata offileitems. The Pythoningest_batchdrops it for that item type.
