RagLeapragleap.com used to run a cloud/SaaS version of RagLeap. As of this week, that's changed: we've retired the cloud backend entirely and rebuilt ragleap.com as a purely open-source project site.
Why
The cloud product never found real paying traction, and maintaining it split focus away from the thing that actually has momentum: ragleap-core, our open-source, self-hosted platform for building AI employees. Rather than run both half-heartedly, we're putting everything into the open-source side.
What this means concretely
- ragleap.com is now a static, open-source project site — no account, no login, no SaaS.
- The old Django backend has been stopped and its code archived; nothing about this affects
ragleap-coreitself, which continues exactly as before. - A future, lighter-weight cloud offering — rebuilt on top of
ragleap-coredirectly rather than the old codebase — is planned forinstall.ragleap.comdown the line. packages.ragleap.com(PyPI package docs and distribution) is untouched by any of this.
The honest pitch going forward: RagLeap Core is AI employees for your business that already know your documents, where every real action waits for your approval — not trying to out-market OpenClaw or Paperclip, just building the thing neither of them offers out of the box.
